Artisteer is a template creator for WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and several other systems. It allows you to create custom templates very fast, without ever having to touch code. It looks pretty simple on the surface, but it has layers of control that allow you to create very sophisticated templates, very quickly, once you learn how to use the more specific controls. You can set colors, borders, spacing, styles, images, and more, and the combination gives you unlimited control for both unique looks, and attractive design.

I can create a new template for a client in about 30 minutes. I may have to change a few colors or tweak a few things after that, but it is so simple to do, that after I send off the first template for approval, I never have to spend more than 5-10 minutes polishing it. I've been teaching my students how to use this program, and they are producing very nice templates within minutes of their first lesson.

It is a terrific program for non-technical people who want to create more than one template without knowing code. But it is also a very powerful tool for Webmasters.

At first glance, it doesn't look like much. But if you start digging a little deeper, it proves to be something amazing.

Ever notice how every single stock template is so different that to customize a template you have to relearn the code? Well, I'm all about saving time in smart ways. What I love most is that with Artisteer, I learned ONE template. Once I learned that, I can create anything I want, and the code always starts out the same.

I also started a code library.

• I created a header module position for a client who wanted editable contact info there.
• A client wanted a second horizontal menu. So I created one. And saved the code.
• A client wanted a second horizontal drop-down menu, so I duplicated the dropdown menu that Artisteer creates, had my coder write me a snippet to insert into the menu.php file, and duplicated the menu CSS and renamed it so I could style the menus separately. 

I'll never have to write that code again. It was worth paying a bit for! I can now do a difficult modification, and it is worth it, because I can save the code and reuse it, because all the templates use the same base code!

You can't do that when you are using a variety of stock templates. And this is WAY faster than coding your own!
